Alice Beaufort

Quentin Beaufort is the third son of Jacques Beaufort and was the winemaker at his father's domain for several years before deciding to strike out on his own.

This he did just outside the Champagne area in a small vineyard at the North Eastern tip of the Côte d'Or in Burgundy. The terroir here is almost identical to that of the family run domain Polisy, just a little further North in Champagne.

We first started to import his sparkling wines at the behest of Italian sommelier Andrea Domenicucci during his stint at a top hotel in the Cotswolds.

Andrea had been familiar with Quentin's wine whilst working in Rome and he had never come across it in England, so we took a trip to the vineyard and were bowled over by the quality of the wines that Quentin was producing.

"As one of the premier boutique hotels in  the country we source our champagne from  the suppliers who really know their product.  Henry George Wines have some pretty  impressive grower champagnes to choose  from and their service has always been  second to none"
