We were introduced to Christophe Constant earlier this year by Laurent Champs of Champagne Vilmart, who knows a thing or two about making Champagne!
Like Laurent, who took over from his father in the early nineties, Christophe has been busy doing things his own way since taking over the reins at J.L.Vergnon in the early noughties.
He draws his fruit from 5 hectares of vineyards, spread among five villages in the Southern Cote des Blancs, with the winery based in the middle of the Grand Cru village of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. With a gradual and judicious increase in the use of oak casks for vinification, he has made a reputation as one of the most prestigious estates in the Cote des Blancs.
OUR CUSTOMERS SAY.......
"As one of the premier boutique hotels in the country we source our champagne from the suppliers who really know their product. Henry George Wines have some pretty impressive grower champagnes to choose from and their service has always been second to none"
