Sadi Malot
The Sadi Malot estate lies in the heart of the vineyard in Villers-Marmery, a small village at the North Eastern tip of the Montagne de Reims which is renowned for the quality of its Chardonnay.
Purely small scale, farming 10 hectares, Sadi Malot is a traditional, family run business that we found quite by chance. We were in between appointments when we found ourselves parked outside the door of the home of Franck Malot. We took a chance on a surprise tasting visit and were much impressed with the quality of the champagne on offer.
With parcels in Verzy, which are being converted to organic viticulture, and Villers-Marmery, the family produces affordable, quality champagnes from the entry level non vintages to the beautifully packaged vinotheque collections
We had no hesitation in bringing them into our portfolio and they have remained a favourite throughout the last decade.
