Champagne Corbon Blanc de Blanc 2004 Vintage

Corbon 2004 Vintage

7 years ago we were introduced to Agnès Corbon, who had recently taken over the reins from her father, Claude, at Champagne Corbon in Avize on the Côte des Blancs. Her best wines come from the company’s 2 hectares of Chardonnay vines in the village, which is rated as Grand Cru in the ‘Echelle des Crus’ of Champagne.

We bought several cases and kept them hidden away, in eager anticipation of what would become of them with several years of bottle age.

It’s just about reached its optimum drinking window, showing the rich honey notes that those years in bottle can bring, but still retaining enough acidity to see it through several years drinking to come.

At this price it’s a steal!
